Women In Film

I would like to highlight these talented ladies of the romance film "Pearls of Africa" who worked very diligently in front of the camera, and behind the scenes to co-create magic. Every job detail that was delegated to them was done with a spirit of excellence and passion which elevated visual and dialogue to the next level. Despite the tireless and restless nights, I would do it all over again to experience working with a group of ingenious women; my sisters from the mother land. There is really something special and majestic about women behind the lens. I love it!

Pearls of Africa is inspired by real events, and was written by Kenyan-British native director-producer Sharon Agina. Working along-side Sharon has been a blessing in more ways than one. This collaboration has also been a valuable learning experience which has endowed me with the ability to maximize my potential by wearing different hats on set. This opportunity allowed me to be to be jack of all trades as it relates to the totality of working on set. No, was never an option when it came to the morale of the team.

The crew stretched every opportunity possible to meet deadlines and shooting goals. The ease and confidence Sharon posed was truly an inspiration. She handled every obstacle thrown at her both on and off set. That ease and confidence trickled down to the cast and crew. Her directing vision and style elevated each actor to their highest potential which will be evident once this film hits the big screen.
